Are you a stationary addict? There's something special about buying a new journal and/or new pens/pencils.Maybe it represents a new beginning to you.Or, maybe it's a new chapter after a sh*tty time.Maybe you just finished your last one 🤣But are you someone who buys them and is afraid to put a mark on the first page?Or do you buy them (or get one gifted) and don't know how to start!Maybe you write loads and loads and don't know how long to keep them!I've been all them! The first blank page in a journal represents so many things...Oh, and all the beautiful colours of new pens or pencils.I LOVE colour - it speaks so eloquently to my subconscious mind. But… How long do you keep them? What about the ones that you bought and never wrote in?Or, the piles of journals that you still have from years (or decades ago)? There's no judgement here.I had to address this very question before we moved into our dream home.A big declutter of journals happened, but I've still got some more to get rid of.Might be able to burn some in the new wood burner that we just had installed.Fess up!What do you collect most of? Or you planning on keeping them for ever and a day?

Totally a stationary addict here! New notebooks are like a gateway to possibility, aren't they? Fresh start, unleashing creativity, the whole shebang.I confess, I've definitely been the "afraid to mark the first page" person. That pristine blankness can be intimidating! But then I remember it's just paper, and the beauty is in the filling it up. Ann-Marie Clare

I thought a rock had hit my windscreen! Hubster thought it was the actual bird, and now splattered. Looks like just a lot of bird 🦅 poo to me! Thank goodness my window was closed! Especially since I’m knitting the next new baby blanket 🧶 and I don’t like anything that flaps wings near me! Happy Saturday.

Do you believe that clearing clutter can shift stuck energy and create energetic space for attracting abundance?I've seen it happen sooooo many times. It's happened for myself and hubster as well as clients and anyone who is curious after listening to me spout about this phenomena.Coincidence? Possibly! But everything is energy!Who even cares, if it actually works/!Let me know where you stand on this one below.

THE DRESS IS BOUGHT!!!When my son said he didn’t want to go to his graduation I was incredibly disappointed. No graduation ceremony = no new frock!Just joking!Of course, I don’t need an excuse to buy a new dress.I’m proud of my baby boy! (Even at 22yo, he’ll always be my baba). When my daughter graduated x2 I was prouder than proud (is that even good grammar?).One of the reasons he didn’t want to go to the ceremony was - he didn’t think he’d graduate.Second, he thought it would be boring (he only wants the nice meal afterwards).Once he decided he would go (probably for his parents’ proud moment), he tried to book us in and not himself 🤣 (How's that for ingenuity?)Can’t tell you how much that made me laugh! He got his results recently and said he wasn’t celebrating or announcing it to the family as it simply HAD to be a mistake. For around 10 days we didn’t know whether to be excited for him or await the bombshell that it was in fact a mistake. He decided that he would need to double and triple check. It wasn't a mistake. He got a 2:1.I’m beyond happy for him.Not just because of a great degree…He is the cohort that went to uni in 2020.Lectures and tutorials were all online.Just into his 3rd year, he realised it wasn’t just boring because it was online, he’d chosen the wrong subject and he no longer wanted to pursue a career in law.But here’s why I’m very proud of him…He’d just paid for year 3 of 4 fees when he totally realised that it wasn’t for him.He said he was still going to complete the degree, even though he’d found it boring and not for him. He had around 18 months to go. It wasn't forever. He stuck it out.If I’m honest (and him) he did the bare minimum to get by, but always passed assignments and exams. We hoped he’d come out with at least a pass. But to get a 2:1…I’m a very proud mama.He stayed the course (he LOVED everything else about Uni, his club, being treasurer, Scotland working p/t at a climbing wall and bagged himself a lovely gf). He’s gained ‘life’ experiences throughout the last 4 years.Disappointed, I left him to decide, no point making him go (although he ays we did lol).He decided to go to the ceremony (I can’t wait!).And, lastly, I’ve got a new dress 👗Pinky promise that I’ll post proud mama moments of me and my son (if he’ll permit me to take a photo 📸 next week!

Letting go can be hard, but it can also give you a sense of pleasure. When my babies were born, they were tiny. They had the littlest cutest perfect feet.Except, getting shoes to fit them was hard.My daughter walked at 10 months and literally had to grow into her tiny shoes. My son walked across the room on his 1st birthday. His grandma and grandpa had just arrived from the Midlands and were looking through the lounge window. They were delighted to see his moment of pride, although he didn’t walk again for another month! His tiny shoes had to be ordered from Europe.Like a lot of Mums, I decided to keep their first pair of shoes. Such a sentimental softie…But how long should I actually keep these little shoes? How do you declutter something so sentimental that reminds you of those special days when your babies were tiny?Roll on years and years…With my children having reached 23 and 21, I still had stored away - in almost perfect condition in their original boxes - my children’s first shoes.I really did want to declutter.I really did want to let go.I even asked my children if they wanted their first shoes to keep! Nope! Was I trying to hang onto those memories and firsts through two pairs of shoes?I still wanted to get rid of them…Then I saw a friend on Facebook with a distraught 5-year-old who had lost her first shoes that she’d been using for her doll.Ah, I could gift them to her and then I’d feel better. But it so just happens, the doll’s shoes were found. With the energy crisis still rumbling on, I decided I could post the shoes on one of those free neighbour apps.Someone in my neighbourhood would surely appreciate and benefit from baby shoes that look like new, are good quality and were quite expensive.Oh, but what a faff to take a photo, sign up to the app and wait for the right neighbour who needed first shoes to rock up.It would be quicker and easier to take them to the local charity shop. They could still get found by the right family-in-need.So, that’s what I did…But before I passed them on, I took a photo of the shoes. This is a little memento for me but also a reminder that I can declutter, which gives me a dopamine hit to encourage more decluttering.I’m all for keeping as much as I can out of landfill. But, I’m also keen on being able to declutter in the easiest way possible too.In addition, simply trusting that my children’s first shoes will find their way to a family who needs them also helps me to feel good about letting go of something so sentimental and personal.Do you find it difficult to let go of sentimental items like your children’s things?(PS If you struggle to declutter, take a look at my upcoming Online Decluttering Retreat Day. It might be just what you need. I’ll pop the link in the comments.)

You can manifest ANYTHING you want, but you'll have to take massive action! One of those actions (irrespective of a house move) is…Decluttering. Decluttering isn’t just for making life easier or more organised or so yiu can pack up and move (even though that makes a huge difference too). Decluttering is essential to manifesting ANYTHING. You don’t have to get rid of everything or become a minimalist to see results. But clearing clutter has a huge impact on shifting stuck energy and making space for what you desire. ‘The universe abhors a vacuum’!Decluttering as well as setting an intention of what you truly desire is important. How often have you created space for it to be filled soon with more clutter. It’s an ongoing process and not always ‘do it once and that’s it’!Are you ready and willing to take massive action to manifest ANYTHING you want? The next LIVE Online Decluttering Day(s) are Friday, 28th June and Sunday, 30th June. Comment below or DM me MANIFEST for more details. Digital clutter is clutter too, not just the physical stuff! But how often do you actually have a clearout of all those unwanted emails, photos or old logos (or old social media images) that you've created? It may not seem important, but it could be still slowing you down (or of course your phone or computer. You could have a little clearout when you are watching trashy TV (I had a clearout of old photos on my phone this weekend.Or maybe have a clearout when you are waiting for your child to finish their piano lesson or football match (unless of course you are watching from the sideline).Let me know how often you have a digital clearout?
